Free Wallpapers – Made Just To Tease Sue

Some might call me a horrible friend for teasing Sue this way. But anyone who knows me personally knows that if I finish this *cough* gift (read more about it in my previous post) before my deadline… well, Sue will get her gift early. I can’t keep surprises.

I was taking some progress pics for when I do my “ta da” post and loved how “springy” and pretty the blue looked in the pics. So logically, I made some wallpapers :) Sue, feast your eyes on what will soon be yours. Now, if only you could make out what it is huh? mooooah ha ha ha ha ha

Red Heart – Artesano “Exotic” Wallpaper

Ok, the backstory first…

I wanted to make something that I could give away on my blog. Why you ask? Why not :) I love it that people give away yarn, patterns etc on their blogs and I wanted to return the favor. Besides, who doesn’t like freebies?!

I found our old Panasonic camera and was overjoyed because I remembered that it took really good macro shots. I was sick of taking pics on my iPhone. Mind you, it’s only a 4 Megapixel camera, so eventually, I will have to get a better one :)

I started taking pics of the yarn I’m using to make my “giveaway” then brought them into photoshop for some adjusting. In walks hubby. I mentioned to him that I wanted to eventually make knitting wallpapers. I’ve seen a few wallpapers out there, but none of them really “grabbed” me. He pretty well just looked at me and said “well, why are you waiting, start now!”

So I did.

Now that I can take somewhat decent pics of my yarn and knitted goods… I will make sure to make wallpapers so I can share with you guys :)

I now present you with my first knitting wallpaper. Hope you guys like it!

I Heart This Wallpaper!

I’ve always loved the wallpapers on pixelgirlpresents.com They have amazing wallpaper and icons, so well organized, so pretty.

Knitting friends, I now present to you a Knitting wallpaper that I found there. It’s damn cute. Everymorning when I boot up my machine at work… I smile.
