Christmas Already?! You’re F’n Kidding!!

Yup… that’s right… I said it… CHRISTMAS! ha! I’ve started to think about christmas gifts as I really have limited knitting time. That, and this year, I want to knit something other than scarves for my family. I’m pretty sure they all have scarves they haven’t even worn yet

Thanks to my mom, I’ve picked out what I’m going to make for my lil bro and sis. Now I have to figure out what to make her! If anyone has any suggestions… please let me know.

We’re still in the process of selling our house so I often have to leave the house for a bit when people come through to look at it. Today, I felt the itch. I felt the call that all us knitters know all too well… my LYS was calling my name. Now I knew I couldn’t willy nilly just buy whatever managed to get its beautiful grasp on me… I had to go with a purpose. So, Christmas knitting it was!

I’m making my brother a garment… which one…. will remain a secret till christmas BUT… I will reveal the color. So, Michael, if you’re reading this… I REALLY hope you like the color because I’ve already wound it all

I got some hand dyed Tanis Fiber Arts in the Stormy colorway. I LOVE all the different tones of blue/teal. I’ve used Tanis before to make this shawl and I absolutely LOVED working with it. This will be the first time I’ll be using their worsted weight. I can tell you this much though… it’s heavenly to touch!!!!

One of the things I love about Tanis is the fact that they’ve signed the inside of each and every label. How awesome is that?!?! It’s little things like that… that really make buying local so much fun and awesome

Last, but oh so definitely not least… Today was Madison’s first time at the yarn store She loved it from what I could tell. In other Madison news… she now will not go anywhere without her bunny/rattler/binkie thing. She holds onto it for dear life. She even eats with it! lol I think it’s beyond adorable
