Long Lost WIP’s – The Most Expensive Socks I Now Own
I was digging around in my craft room and found these 2 pairs of socks that I knit when I was preggers. They were just sitting there on some needles waiting to have the toes grafted. I have NO idea why I didn’t just finish them. Its not like there was much left to do!
The socks on the left are Patons Kroy Socks in Turquoise Jacquard and the socks on the right are made with my beloved Malabrigo sock in the Archangel colorway.
I quickly got my needle out and started to quickly graft the toes together.
I now have 2 new pairs of comfy socks :)
I was saving the Malabrigo for a shawl for myself but in the heat of my “I must knit as many socks as possible” fever as I was coming up on my due date, I cast on with my Malabrigo. I will admit that they are the MOST comfortable socks I’ve made. BUT they’re now also the most expensive pair of socks I own :)
I absolutely LOVE all the different colors in this yarn. Its so pretty that I now want to get another skein and hold onto it again for a shawl! lol
These socks will be reserved for special occasions only! And of course, I now feel the need to buy some pretty shoes to wear with them.
I also found a little cardigan that I had made for Madison which almost doesn’t fit her now! It’s missing some buttons. As soon as I get those sewn on, I will take some pics and post them :)
