My Sunshine Yellow Socks

I finally managed to get some decent pics of my finished yellow socks. They sure do fit well now that my ankles and feet have decided to swell! ha! None the less… These were a blast to make. The pattern was super easy to memorize. Speaking of which, I used the Oblique Openwork stitch pattern (ravelry link) from my Sensational Knitted Socks book by Charlene Schurch. I think I made them one size too big, but that’s ok… they’re perfect right now for my kankles :)

I am so seriously in love with these yellow socks. They’re so bright that I can’t help but smile when I look at them. And in case you’re wondering, this skein was hand dyed by Jackie of JLYarnworks :)

I had a little bit of yellow awesomeness left so I decided to make our little one a pair of yellow socks so she can be just like mommy :) tee hee. They’re so little!!!!!!!!!

So now that those are done, I’ve cast on for another pair of just plain stockinette socks using my beloved Malabrigo in Archangel :) I LOVE all the different colors….

So now I’m off to kick my fee back up and hope the swelling goes down a bit and knit, knit, knit away at my next pair of socks.

Wow! If both of those don’t look like spring, I don’t know what does. Way to get rid of those mid winter blues.

I forgot how much I enjoyed reading your blog, I can’t believe I’ve been gone so long that I didn’t even know you were pregnant!
P.S. Beautiful work on those socks! They have to be the springiest thing I’ve so far this side of winter.

Sorry it’s taken me so long to comment. I’ve been only about half with-it lately. :) Those socks are absolutely gorgeous! I love seeing how my yarns evolve when in skilled hands. Those are definitely very happy socks. And the tiny ones are just flippin’ adorable. Thanks for sharing!
