Red Heart – Artesano “Exotic” Wallpaper

Ok, the backstory first…

I wanted to make something that I could give away on my blog. Why you ask? Why not :) I love it that people give away yarn, patterns etc on their blogs and I wanted to return the favor. Besides, who doesn’t like freebies?!

I found our old Panasonic camera and was overjoyed because I remembered that it took really good macro shots. I was sick of taking pics on my iPhone. Mind you, it’s only a 4 Megapixel camera, so eventually, I will have to get a better one :)

I started taking pics of the yarn I’m using to make my “giveaway” then brought them into photoshop for some adjusting. In walks hubby. I mentioned to him that I wanted to eventually make knitting wallpapers. I’ve seen a few wallpapers out there, but none of them really “grabbed” me. He pretty well just looked at me and said “well, why are you waiting, start now!”

So I did.

Now that I can take somewhat decent pics of my yarn and knitted goods… I will make sure to make wallpapers so I can share with you guys :)
