Routines Will Save My Life

HELLLLOOOOOOOO!

I know, its been a while. I’m a horrible blogger. BUT, I’m happy to announce that I’m starting to get into a routine with little Madison and I’m starting to feel like I have a grasp on my days again :) My biggest issue was that she didn’t like being put down during the day much, so I had to learn how to do thing with one hand for the days she refused to hang out in her baby bjorn. Like now for example… I have to hold her or she will wake up (please excuse my horrible hair)

She’s starting to get more of a routine going. I now know that if I want to get anything done, I have to do it in the mornings. If not… I’m screwed. Her afternoons are eating a ton, playing and being carried around. Luckily, I’m the queen of multitasking. If she naps for 3 hours in the morning, I can actually get a TON done…. including some knitting finally!!!

I’m gonna do my best to not bombard this post with pics… but here’s us on mothers day. My first one. It was a trip to celebrate my first mothers day. You spend your whole life wishing someone else a happy mothers day and then it’s your turn :) I look horrible in this pic cause it’s right in the morning, but I had to post it cause of my hilarious sheep robe.

Now onto the knitting!!!! I’ve learned to knit while she sleeps on me which took a bit to get used to. BUT I can at least knit a little instead of just sitting there acting as a mattress! I can’t knit very quickly, but I can at least get my fix in :) I starting working on the back of the red dress I started making her before she was born. I managed to get this much done over 2 days!

Again, it’s not much, but it’s something. I figured I would finish it up because she’s growing FAST. She’s 2 months old now and is already wearing 6mo clothes! This dress is sized for a 1yo, which is when I was hoping she would wear it cause it would still be chilly out, but at the rate she’s going, she may fit into it sooner. Hopefully it’s after summer! lol

In other knitting news… the lovely Amanda aka jbee42 on twitter surprised me but telling me that she was going to send me some of her handspun!!! I’m not even sure I can explain how giddy I am. Honestly, it’s the nicest thing ever… completely unexpected… and EXACTLY what I needed to kick my butt into gear and getting me knitting again!!! So, Amanda… THANK YOU!!!! I can’t wait to see the yumminess she spins up. Expect a post with a ton of these !!!!!!!!!! when I get her handspun ;)

Now, I need to tell you guys about my godmother. I don’t have a pic of her or I would post it… but she is the BEST!!!! She taught me all out needlepoint and got me hooked on it when I was a teenager. She knit some insanely cute baby booties for Madison before she was born and 2 weeks ago she gave me the cutest little jacket with matching booties for Madison! I couldnt resist and had to have a little photo shoot with the little one :)

Isn’t it just awesome???? I’ll have to get a better pic of it soon before she outgrows it :) And… perfect timing… The dishwasher just stopped which means she’s now awake. lol Happy knitting/Crafting everyone! I’ll do my best to post once a week and I’ll keep you all up to date on the little things on twitter :)

But before I go… one last pic! This is us yesterday :)
